Drama visit

On Thursday 17th June all students taking Drama at GCSE travelled up to  the Young Vic for the evening performance of 'Joe Turner's Come and Gone'. The play was set in Pittsburgh in 1911 and covered many thoughtful social issues of the time. The reaction from all students were really positive. 'I loved it', 'Amazing', 'We are going to see it again' were some comments. The set was really different with our feet in sand throughout and we enjoyed our free ice creams in the interval. Thank you as always to the wonderful Young Vic for providing us with free tickets to the show.

This was the first outing for this GCSE group to the theatre and we look forward to more in Year 11. All students now are to write a theatre review of the show which will form part of their Drama GCSE coursework.
